Care groups

The Bible tells us that, in this life, we will encounter hardship – but we don’t have to do it alone. If you are struggling with or have experienced a difficult situation, care groups might be a great next step for you. Facilitated by trained staff or volunteers, you'll meet with others going through similar situations to share experiences and walk together toward healing. Check out the available groups below.

Women’s Journey to Heal

The Light of the World has come. Although sexual/abuse/assault is one of the toughest experiences to process through and find healing from, our hope is that through this group each person will feel heard, cared for, understood and helped.

This group is a safe place for women who have experienced sexual abuse to be heard and understood while taking certain essential steps in healing. Groups consist of 3 to 5 members and run for 7 weeks, meeting at the Leland Church Office on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30. Topics covered involve acknowledgment, acceptance, shame, anger, forgiveness, identity, and new life in Christ.

Registration is free. Group members will need their own copy of Journey to Heal, a personal journal, and a Bible, to participate.
